Persian Date and Almond Smoothie

 Ingredients:

 

- 1 cup pitted dates (about 10-12 dates)

- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)

- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

- 1/4 cup almond butter (or smooth peanut butter)

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional, for a hint of spice)

- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup, optional, for extra sweetness)

- 1/2 cup ice cubes

- Sliced almonds (for garnish, optional)

- Chopped dates (for garnish, optional)

 

 Instructions:

 

  1. Prepare Dates:

   - If the dates are not already pitted, remove the pits. If the dates are very dry, soak them in warm water for 10-15 minutes to soften, then drain well.
